    The goal of the Fashion Design program is to develop creative and innovative designers equipped with the techniques of fine craftsmanship, attuned to the needs of the consumer, and armed with a strong business awareness and background. Draping, pattern drafting and construction are used to develop new concepts and to refine and develop the student's individual skills and talents. The student perfects the skill of working with equipment through the use of industrial machines, cutting tables, and dress forms. The University's fashion show production classes produce dazzling productions that provide an opportunity for AIU to showcase student designs.
