Computer Programming Career Information

As a graduate of a California Computer Programming college, you will be qualified for a career as a computer programmer, computer software engineer, or developer. A typical programming degree will educate you in algorithms, programming concepts, data structures and mathematics. You will also be exposed to many different programming and database languages such as C++, Java, Perl, Oracle, dBase, and VB.Net. Being a computer programmer refers to an individual whose main job function is programming, however this group has a wide range of responsibilities and educational backgrounds. Computer programming college graduates write, test, and maintain the detailed instructions, called programs that computers must follow to perform their functions. They also conceive, design, and test logical structures for solving problems via the computer. Programmers may also be responsible for documenting programs, writing user manuals or creating help screens.
