    Upon successful completion of this program, the graduate will be prepared with computerized office skills for an entry level positions in a wide variety of automated office environments, including word processing, desktop publishing, data entry, records control, accounting and financial reports. It prepares students to comprehend the requirements of an office manager and supervision of personnel in today's business community.

    Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have the knowledge and skills needed towards a rewarding career in the CRHAC field.   • Laboratory Assistant, EKG Technician/Phlebotomist (Diploma)
    Upon completion of the Laboratory Assistant, EKG Technician/Phlebotomist course, the graduate will be able to obtain an entry level position as an EKG Technician/Lab Assistant or Phlebotomist, performing several laboratory procedures in hematology, bacteriology, urinalysis, electrocardiography, fecal analysis and phlebotomy. In addition, the student will be able to perform back office procedures as in taking vital signs, complete physical examination, tray set-ups, injections, positioning and draping, charting patient's medical history. The graduate will have appropriate communication skills and be CPR certified.

    Upon successful completion of the Medical Assistant course, the graduate will be able to obtain an entry level position as a Medical Assistant, assisting the physician in medical office examinations; perform basic laboratory skills and procedures; record, monitor and mount electrocardiograms. In the front office, the Medical Assistant will perform the administrative duties of the office including bookkeeping, record management, appointment scheduling, insurance, and medical practice management.

    This program prepares graduates to work as entry-level medical billing specialists. When a health care professional treats a patient, a record is made describing observations and medical treatment. The Medical Billing Specialist assigns a code to each diagnosis and procedure. Various software programs are used to prepare and process medical claims for the patients, the physicians, and the insurance carriers. Students enrolled in this program will learn medical, dental, complementary medicine, and accounting terminology.
